What to do with great fabrics from me2me2?
Jacqui from Meeabee lives in Osaka, Japan and is a truly talented inspiration to us all. Featured is a wonderful Red Riding Bag which was a custom order for a student that wanted to carry textbooks and her laptop in a strong padded bag. The order was for a Fairtale Theme. Jacqui lined the whole bag with quilting batting. She used Kokka Red Riding Hood fabric and found matching Kokka Trefle buttons. She had a vision of the path leading to the Granny’s house and used gorgeous pink & cream rickrack to give that effect. She also added extra rickrack trim to the outer pocket.
You can follow her blog or on etsy: http://www.meeabee.com. She has some wonderful items and you can buy in Aussie dollars! and leads a very exciting life in Japan. Originally from New Zealand, Jacqui moved to Japan when she got married.
Going ot Osaka? Contact Jacqui for some great places to shop for fabrics. She knows them all.
Thanks Jacqui!

Far Far Away, Designed by Heather Ross and printed by Kokka of Japan. The Far Far Away range includes five new designs based on favorite mythical tales, including The Princess and The Pea, The Frog Prince, and Unicorns. Designs are printed on “double gauze”. Double gauze is a combination of two gauze sheets quilted together with invisible stitches. This makes a beautiful, soft, flowing fabric. The cotton gauze is a lightweight, open weave fabric. The texture and colour are beautifully rich and vibrant.
Me2me2 has managed to secure 3 bolts of this beautiful fabric range. We have The Princess and the Pea, The Frog Prince and the purple Unicorns.
We will be stocking more of this range as it reaches the shores of Australia.
For pictures and information on this wonderful collection, please visit Heather Ross’ journal: http://heatherross.squarespace.com/far-far-away-for-kokka-of-japa/ or visit our website for pictures – www.me2me2.com
